Host Live Screen at Supercars

I had an excellent time being one of the live on camera presenters for the 2021 Darwin Supercars.

I got to host a bunch of competitions, interviews and games in track centre and meet people from all walks of life and all levels of sobriety. I love these gigs because you have to think on your feet and be creative and the positive energy around the Supercars this event meant that everyone we talked to was in an excellent mood.

Here are some of the highlights that happened

• Running the SunSmart Triathlon: involved putting on sunscreen, sculling a water bottle then a sprint finish to the shade

• Organising Max Fredericks to serenade a couple who got engaged, and then having an 8 year old swept up in the moment grab my hand and decide I was his new girlfriend

• Making two families battle it out in who can do the best impression of a super car (complete with sound effects)

• Running a quiz with two toasted blokes who didn’t get any of the questions right but were so excited to make thier buzzer noises it didn’t really matter

• Every single live cross was photo bombed by a kid dancing or a bloke with a mullet

• Throwing on an apron and making a pizza, the content was ok but it’s a highlight cos I got a pizza

Nice work to the team from Global Headquarters it was an absolute privilege to work with you as always. And well done NT Major Events Company that was an epic weekend.
