Darwin Entertainment Centre Staff Engagement Day
I had the absolute privilege of facilitating a full-day staff development, team building and values workshop with Darwin Entertainment Centre.
It is an incredibly exciting time to be at DEC with new staff, a fresh open perspective on programming/community engagement and a really energetic and engaged team that I feel is going to deliver a dynamic season of shows, community initiatives and entertainment.
During the day we looked at DiSC profiles, working in teams, comradery, office culture, team values, best practise communication and delivering the highest quality in customer service. It was a massive day of discussions and interactive activities that allowed the team a platform to feedback into their team dynamics and the culture of DEC.
The goal for me with this full day workshop was to make sure it was
Fun and engaging: focusing on gamified and interactive activities
Relevant to the different staff and tangible to their daily practise
An opportunity for individual to connect with their colleagues and share their values/goals in a safe and supportive space
I think DEC has been incredible progressive with how they approached this staff development day and I really hope everyone learned something and they are ready to approach 2020 with a sense of team.
I feel very proud to have been part of it and I am thrilled to see the passion they all have for the Darwin community and providing entertainment for us Top Enders.
