For the fifth year I've been a mentor and workshop facilitator for the Charles Darwin University Aspire Program.

This program aims to help students from diverse backgrounds achieve their best results in secondary school and to raise the aspirations of young people to pursue tertiary study.

I've been working with one group for the past three years and they've all graduated from high school recently and I'm incredibly proud of them. They've come from all over the Northern Territory from a range of backgrounds, but have all had aspirations for further study and leadership. I think it's groups of young people like this that make me really optimistic about the future of the NT.

It's been a real privilege to work with them and facilitate some of their skills development - can't wait to see what they all go onto from here.
