Activations and Engagement at the Airport

Airports can be pretty stressful places. They're not everyone's favourite place to visit. But with the activations and engagement activities through the Green Room Program we've been working to change that perception.

Over the past two years I've worked with Darwin International Airport to assist in programming and promoting the Green Room. What started as a stage in the terminal has grown to an interactive program that showcases Darwin art, creativity and stories with pop up events for passengers and visitors to Darwin.

We've just completed a Virtual Reality Hub as part of the Darwin International Film Festival. We had people of all ages taking a gamble and experiencing something different before their flights with the latest in 360 film viewing and virtual experiences. People even travelled to the airport to try the VR Hub - which is a whole new way to think about the Darwin Airport.

I'm so proud of the work and achievements of the dry season program and can't wait for the next round of activities.

To all the staff and leadership at Darwin International Airport. Thank you for your risks and for trusting and for being open to new ways to improve the quality if experience of airport visitors. Love working with you.

Here's a few photos of the VR Hub in action for you.
