Gapuwiyak School Holiday Workshops

For the past week I've been working in Gapuwiyak in East Arnhem Land, running school holiday workshops for young people.We did a range of activities including photography, video making, comedy and laughing games, as well as engaging with other workshops with Solid State Circus and Volleyball NT. It was an amazing experience and the kids were incredibly enthusiastic and fun to work with. Thanks to East Arnhem Regional Council, Audio Productions and ALPA for making it happen.I've loved the opportunity to use my skills to help young people in some of the NT's most remote communities and I'm looking forward to more adventures around the Territory.Gapuwiyak is a located on the shore of Lake Evella near the upper reaches of the Buckingham River. It is 60 air km south east of Galiwin’ku and 115 air km west of Nhulunbuy (220 km by good gravel road). The community has an average population of around 1000 Yolŋu people.
