Earlier this year I spent a week in Katherine working with young people from the IMPACT Youth Hub and Katherine RISE to create IMPACT Youth News!

It was an awesome project and the group of teenagers I got to work with were amazing!

Over the week they learnt about cameras, editing and filming and interviewed local residents including the Mayor Fay Miller, police, youth workers and community members about life in Katherine. They created a really fun 20 minutes of news and discussed what they like about and what they would change about Katherine.

Check out the video below.

The news group was also featured in the Katherine Times: click for the story.

Thanks to everyone that supported this initiative, it was a joy to be involved.
