I’m incredibly excited that the Australian Institute of Office Professionals has invited me to be the guest speaker at the 2020 AIOP Breakfast in May.

I’ve loved going to AIOP events and connecting with incredible people from across Darwin during them, and it’s a real honour to be the featured speaker at their biggest event of the year.

The theme is SEE CHANGE | BE CHANGE and I really love this concept because that’s exactly how I feel Darwin separates itself from the rest of Australia. The opportunities I’ve had in the Top End are so diverse and much greater than anything I could have experienced in southern cities. The big challenge I think we all face is being able to see the opportunities for change and success and then having the confidence to take them.

I’m really looking forward to sharing my story. From moving to Darwin in 2012, to starting stand up comedy and then becoming a full time freelance business owner and now relocating my entire family to Darwin (against the trend) and continuing to say yes to the opportunities up here.

I’m slightly nervous… it’s a bit different to stand up comedy or MCing… I might have to be a bit more serious. But that’s the message isn’t it – say yes and great things can happen.

Hope to see you at the 2020 AIOP Breakfast on May 15. All the information is here: www.facebook.com/events/2715880448501949
