Absolutely thrilled that I was contracted by the NT Travelling Film Festival to run film workshops in Gunbalanya.

The goal was to produce local content for the big community screening, the challenge was to do that in 3 days!

We totally delivered. Working with West Arnhem Regional Council and the Njanjma Aboriginal Corporation we produced three short films that were shows on the huge screen at the football oval. It was a beautiful community event and I was so proud of the films Gunbalanya produced.

One film was about early burning with the Junior Rangers, another was a 13 minute storytelling film in language that talked about significant stories from the Gunbalanya area and the third was a tricks and skills montage with the kids at the Gunbalanya Youth Centre.

It was an incredible experience and I’m so pleased to have the opportunity to work in Gunbalanya again.

Here are some photos from the filmmaking workshops.
