My final project for 2017 may have stolen the prize for the best of the year!

I was absolutely thrilled to be invited to Maningrida by West Arnhem Regional Council to run photography workshops for young people in the community. The idea was to provide an opportunity for young people in remote Arnhem Land to engage with and explore photography and produce an exhibition of works that shows life in Maningrida from their perspective.

We worked closely with the Rangers, Maningrida School, Youth Services and community basketball programs to give over 100 young people experience with using SLR cameras and taking high quality images of their lives.

What an absolute privilege to be part of this initiative and I’m incredibly grateful to everyone involved.

Here are some images from the project.
