Recently I had the absolute privilege of travelling with four Australian of the Year Awards recipients to document their engagement with people across the Northern Territory. I was absolutely thrilled with the opportunity which had me attending functions at Government House, flying to Tiwi Islands, going to schools, art centres and community forums. The Awards recipients lan Mackay-Sim (2017 Australian of the Year), Andrea Mason (2017 NT Australian of the Year), Alpha Cheng (2017 ACT Young Australian of the Year finalist) and Sister Anne Gardiner AM (2017 Senior Australian of the Year) were incredible to spend time with – I feel very lucky.

Here are some of the photos.

And remember if you know someone great in your community nominate them for an Australian of the Year Award – www.australianoftheyear.org.au
