Since 2013 I have been the Marketing and Communications Officer at MusicNT – the Northern Territory’s peak body supporting and developing contemporary music across the NT.

I love this gig because I love the NT music scene. There is such diversity, passion and talent in the most isolated music scene in Australia. And my role with MusicNT allows me to celebrate and promote that diverse talent.

As the Marketing and Communications Officer ay MusicNT my role crosses over all the programs and events coordinated by MusicNT including promoting, PR and marketing for the NT Song of the Year Awards, intune music conference, National Indigenous Music Awards Bush Bands Program, Sista Sounds and Divas programs, Hot Shots Music Photography Competition, FRESH MiNT, workshops and more.

I coordinate the MusicNT website and social media channels and coordinate PR activities including media releases, monthly eNews and communications to stakeholders. I also do all the photography and film production for the not-for-profit organisation. It’s a busy gig – but I love it.

During my time at MusicNT I’ve been featured in the One-of-One blog and Music Industry Inside Out, and I was named in the AMID Power List Top 10 Under 30. I’ve also presented workshops to help musicians in the NT.
